Diary Entry 71
Note: Sorry it has been a while in an update but I have been writing another story but hopefully you will enjoy this short entry all the same
September 8th
I have so much to tell you, Tam give birth to our son, Michael He is beautiful baby. The girls just love him so much. The girls help out when they can. Unfortunately the last few months have been hard, Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep and as you may remember me telling you Lacey start seeing her mother and this has meant our relationship that we once had has deteriorated badly. Lacey is staying out most nights breaking curfew I don’t know when she will be back and when she does come home she acts like nothing is wrong. We are having big fight about it and she has even said she will live with Sophia, I just don’t know what to do anymore.
September 12th
“Lacey you are not going out again.”
“News flash Dad, I am!” Slamming the door as she walked out.
“It will be fine.” as Tam tries to reassures me but my gut tell me otherwise. I decide to put my frustrations into my work. Nothing gets my focus; I’m just so worried about her.
Jewel looks like her sister and they have a good relationship, I just wish Jewel was old enough to talk sense to her sister.
As I came home from another long day I found Lacey helping out in the garden, I called over but she wouldn’t answer me.
Michael is a sweet boy who always has a smile on his face. He loves to learn and wants to know more all the time. I love that about him but it can wear you out.
September 19th
Michael was playing with doll and I couldn’t help but take a picture of the moment. The poor doll does get used a lot. Jewel hasn’t been well lately so her chore, looking after Sweet has been taken over by Tam. At first Sweet was not happy with Tam taking over but has finally come around.
Last night the police called at the house with my daughter. She had decided that because she didn’t like a group of children at her school that she would leave them a gift on the door step. Unfortunately Lacey was spotted by a young girl and when she told her parents they phone the police to deal with the matter. Then the officer asked me a question that did shock me, “Is your daughter any relation to the late April Blonde?”
“How dare you, officer. Lacey has never met this April Blonde. You are right they are related but it is a very distant connection. Are you trying to compare my daughter to her?”
“I.I.night Mr Blonde.”
As I shut the door I was angry that someone could see what I had been trying to not think about Was it possible generations down the line that Lacey has her Great, Great Aunt’s evil streak? I mean her mother is a mean spirited person, who never wanted our daughter and I was blinded by her beauty that I even consider marrying her.
I went to my bedroom after saying good night to the children and when I saw Tam I just lost it. As she comforted me she said, “I heard what the officer said. Lacey is going through a tough time. See it from her side, Sophia gave her up and Lacey wants answers which you can’t give her. She loves you but she feels let down by the one person who should have been there for her.”
“This is why she was to stay away from Sophia.”
“Luke you can’t protect her forever.”
“Why won’t she speak to me? I would listen to her.” Tam just stared at me and replied, “Really? Every time you see her anywhere near Sophia’s place you yell at her and then lecture her at how bad she is. Lacey needs to find out by herself and you need to let her do this or you will lose her.”
September 22nd
I haven’t said anything to Lacey to past few days. Hoping that what Tam says is right and that she will come to me.
I walk into the living room and Lacey is watching TV, she looks up at me and says, “Dad we need to talk.”
Diary Entry 70
January 15th
Lacey just stared at her new sister while she was sleeping in the cot. I walked in and Lacey asked “Is that all she does? I want to play with her.”
“At the moment yes but Jewel will get bigger and then you can play with her. However you can feed her and change her nappy.”
“I will help feed her but I won’t change her as she smells.”
I understood not wanting to change a nappy but she didn’t have to say it out loud.
Tam and Lacey would spend time outside in the garden, looking after the vegetable patch.
April 8th
So much has happened in the last few months, Jewel has grown a lot and is now my shadow. She can now walk and talk and is into everything. Lacey is now discovering science and how to make potions.
Dad is now over 100 years old and is not slowing down. The girls adore him and will sit and listen to him reminisce about the good old days. I bought a horse and Lacey named him Sweet. We extended the garden so he can practice running and jumps. However Sweet does drive Tam nuts as he eats any new plants she is trying to grow, I’ve had to tell him off a few times.
Lacey ran to our new ice-cream van to get a lolly. She loved this new way of getting treats, that truck must be doing well.
April 10th
I found out I’m going to be a Dad again for the third time. Tam decided to remodel parts of the house and she put in a laundry room and redesigned the bathroom. She also re-decorated Nina’s old room so Lacey and Jewel can share. Lacey loved playing pee-a-boo with Jewel and dressing up in her throne outfit. I have to say at the top of Lacey’s favourite things to do was having a bed time story for her Granddad.
I heard a noise in the middle of the night so I got up to investigate and found that Lacey had snuck outside to feed a treat to Sweet. I know I should have called her but I didn’t have the heart.
April 15th
I have entered Sweet and myself in a beginners race and doing the last bit of training before the race and Lacey came and helped out at the stable because she brushed Sweet and sorted out his hooves and saddle. She begs me to let her ride him but I have told her that you have to learn how to look after a pet before you get to do the fun stuff.
We waited outside centre waiting to be called to take part in the race and at that moment it seemed to take forever. At last we were called in. We qualified for last place position but the moment the race started Sweet was off, he was like a bolt of lightning.
I didn’t have to give much encouragement, he over took the first 3 horses and then started to fall back and then he gained momentum and over took a few more. The last lap was coming up and I kept thinking 5th place for a first race won’t be so bad but I guess Sweet had other ideas because without warning we had actually came in first. Our first blue ribbon.
April 21st
Tam had now extended the garden and was growing different and more plants. She had received a call that a restaurant wanted to try the produce so she took a sample over and now they are going to recommend her veg to other chefs in the area.
May 1st
As I was driving home yesterday I found Lacey waiting outside Sophia’s house again, I called to the car and I asked her what she was doing? She told me that she had been seeing her mum for the last few weeks. Lacey told me that she was going to continue seeing her mum whether I liked it or not. She wanted to get to know Sophia and have a relationship with her but told me as far as she was concerned Tammy was more like her mother than Sophia was. “Then why see her then?” I asked.
“It’s just something I need to do.”
May 3rd
Lacey’s birthday, she is finally turning into a teenager. James turned up for her big day but Nina couldn’t make it as Emily was ill. When she came down stairs and blew out the candles she looked up at me and to my shock she was like a mirror image of Sophia but at least Lacey had the better personality.
I almost forgot my sister did get married and here is a picture of her in her beautiful gown on her big day.
Diary Entry 69
November 25th Continued…
I pounded on the front door for what seemed like ages, the door opened and I pushed my way in. “LACEY, LACEY”
“Dad I’m here.”
“Come on, we are going home.” I demanded
“No I’m not. I want to speak to my mum.” I turned and looked at Sophia who just walked outside. “Lacey you shouldn’t be here. This woman isn’t your mum, she is a stranger.” I said calmly.
“She is my mum. She had me, I know she left but I want to know why! I want her to tell me, Dad.” Lacey sounded so serious, what could I say now.
I walked outside and saw her, I stormed over to her and lost it. “This is your fault, you left us and not a word from you and now Lacey wants to see you after all you’ve done. Do the right thing for once tell her to come home with me.”
“Help you I don’t think so. Lacey is my daughter and I want to get to know her after all you stopped me seeing her and that wife of yours thinks she is Lacey’s mum, well she’s not I am.” she threw at me.
“I didn’t stop you seeing Lacey. You stopped yourself, I even asked you to marry me and you just laughed at me and told me to keep the baby.” I reminded her.
“So what if I did. Lacey would never believe you over me. I’m the one she will believe because she thinks you stopped her seeing me.” with that evil grin I hated so much. What neither of us didn’t know was all the time we were arguing Lacey stood and watched us.
“You didn’t want me? You left me, how could you MUM? I thought Dad was lying to stop me seeing you, now I know he wasn’t. Dad I want to go home.” Lacey said through tears and anger.
Sophia opened her mouth to say something but no words would come out. I was glad that Lacey knew the truth but she looked so hurt.
“Do you want to talk about?” as I took her back to the car. She just shook her head and kept her head looking at the floor for the whole ride home. When we got home she just ran to her room not saying another word. Everyone looked at me and knew straight away how it went and Dad and Tam just said “She will be ok, just give her time.”
November 30th
It had been a few days since Lacey saw Sophia, every time I tried to talk to her she would just look at me and say “Not now Dad.” Tam was really starting to show now but rather than take it easy she carried on as if she wasn’t pregnant. I really was starting to worry but she said I was being silly that she was only pregnant.
December 3rd
While working on another case, I questioned a Sim at the salon and on my way out I glanced in the mirror and saw my reflection. I went over to the mirror and to my horror I was getting older. How could this happen? I look after myself but lines had started to appear on my face where they shouldn’t. Does this mean I’m getting old.
December 11th
After seeing my reflection in the mirror the other day I went out and bought a new car, the Bugatti Veyron. When I brought home the car Tam went nuts on me, “Do you know what harm that car will do the environment?”
“I’ve always wanted a car like this and I’m keeping it.” I told her.
” You are keeping this car but it’s not eco-friendly.” as she shouted at me.
“No it’s not eco-friendly but it is so much fun to drive. You should try it, you’d love it.” I knew saying that was the wrong thing because the look on her face said it all. I wanted to say more but thought quit while you are ahead.
Dad thought to car was gorgeous and he even took it for a spin. Lacey even begged to ride in the car but Tam put her foot down and said the car was too fast for a child to ride in it.
January 13th
I got a call while at the police station helping out Tam had gone into labour early, two weeks early but still I had to get to the hospital asap. When I arrived Tam was crying, the contractions were really bad and she was begging for pain relief. The doctor who was new out of medical school was in a state. One of the nurse told him, “Pull yourself together as this woman is in pain and needs your help to deliver this baby safely. The midwife will be here soon now sign for the epidural now.” The doctor signed the paperwork.
Tam just kept saying “Get this baby out please. I’m in terrible pain.”
“You’re doing really well.” as I brushed her hair from her face but it didn’t seem to make a difference. After another 9 hours of being told push, not yet and push again our daughter entered the world, Tam named her Jewel.
Diary Entry 68
October 2nd
I’m going to be a Dad again, I’m so excited. Lacey is finally going to have a brother or sister. We told everyone and they were thrilled for us. Now I just have to explain to Lacey about the baby.
October 5th
Lacey is getting so big now that soon I will have to start looking at schools for her to attend. Tam thinks boarding school is not the answer and that she should stay home. I’ll just have to think about it.
October 8th
I saw a new client today, Helmut Martin. He asked me to get information on a Sim by the name of Henry Lock so he could blackmail him. I told him I would have to think about this and get back to him. This case would mean I would have to dig up dirt on a family member my Mum’s cousin. I am going to sleep on decision as this is not straight forward.
October 9th
I decided to take on the case, I wasn’t keen on the case but I had a growing family to support and they had to come first. I waited for Henry to leave the house and then let myself into the property, I searched all downstairs in draws, behind sofa’s. I then went to the kitchen and started in there but I heard a noise at the front door I jumped and ran upstairs and waited. When I got upstairs and looked out the window it was a stray animal trying to get in. Spying on family was not the best thing to do especially when I was so afraid of getting caught.
I then pick up a few things that were lying around outside and rummaged through his bin see if there was any dirt, I crabbed what I could and left. I went to see Helmut with the items I found and almost threw the information at him. I told him not to contact me again and hoped the information was what he wanted so he would need to contact me again.
November 2nd
Tam and Lacey were getting along, which was great but there were times when Lacey would upset me as I would come and get her from her cot and she would refuse to let me pick her up until Tam walked in. Then Lacey would hold out her arms for Tam. I knew I wanted them to get along I just wish I didn’t feel hurt when Lacey wanted Tam and not me.
November 11th
The whole family came over as we hadn’t seen each other for awhile and while some of us were talking Rob got down on one knee and proposed to Nina. We were all shocked but we were happy for her. I thought it was a bit soon but as long as she was happy that’s what count in my book. The next thing I know Nina and Tam disappear to discuss the wedding. Rob turned to me and said “I only just asked her.”
“I just go with the flow and if you have any sense you will do the same.” as I laughed.
November 16th
This day I have been dreading for a long time, Lacey now a young girl has started asking questions about her real Mum. I showed her a picture of Sophia holding her and Lacey turned to me and said “This is my Mum. Do you know she lives?”
The thought of her seeing Sophia made me feel sick so I lied “I used to know but she moved so I don’t know where she is now.”
“Why don’t I see her?” I wasn’t ready for these questions “Your Mum just left both of us and never gave a reason.”
Lacey walked away with a sad look on her face. My heart just sunk for her. No child should have to be told you are not wanted and here I was telling her in way, without having to tell her straight that her Mum didn’t love her. I told Tam and she started to cry “I thought she loved me as her Mum, why does she need to see her?” I couldn’t respond to that, Lacey always treated her like a Mum and now we were all getting upset.
November 25th
I came home from work to see everyone in a state. Dad came to me and said “Lacey’s gone to see Sophia. We found the note from Lacey 10 minutes ago.”
My heart sank, this couldn’t be happening why now. “Why would she do this Dad?” with concern in my voice.
“I think this is something she needs to do. Just make sure she’s ok, Luke” Tam said the same thing but she looked as worried as I felt.
I got in the car and was thinking if she hurts her I’ll make her pay but on the other hand I kept thinking Lacey will be ok I know she is. As I pulled up outside I was full of anger and rage. I saw the door open and Lacey walked inside.
Diary Entry 67
September 19th
I woke up this morning with sweat pouring from me it was my wedding day and I could believe today was the day I was getting married. Everyone was here the house was so busy. James and Edwardo had stayed over. Tam was in a separate rooms because I’ve been told it’s bad luck to see the bride before the ceremony.
I ran to the bathroom to jump in the shower but unfortunately James was in there first and I almost bashed the door in when he opened the door, “I’m finished, anyone would think it’s an important day.” smiling at me. I pushed him out of the way shouting “I don’t have time for this.” slamming the door behind me.
A few days ago Dad had given his room up for me and Tam, I wanted to be grateful but I didn’t want my parents room but Dad told me how my brother and sister had helped him turn it into our room with latest in bed technology the new hover bed. The room had had a make-over and there was new furniture and the en-suite now had a shower instead of a bath. I was shocked, “Luke you are the head of the house now and with a wife you will need this bedroom more than me.” Almost feeling tears about to start I held them back long enough to say “Thanks Dad.”
Tam hadn’t seen it yet and wouldn’t till later. The noise coming from my sisters room where the girls were getting ready louder now so I knocked on the door Nina opened the door saw it was me and slammed the door in my face. “Nina you shouldn’t be so mean to your brother.”
“Tammy he was trying to see you and you know he can’t.”
I decided to head to downstairs and have brunch with Dad before I had to get ready. James was too busy in the kitchen talking to Nina about the last few details.
Lacey would wear what was bought for her as the little bridesmaid so we just let her wear her favourite dress. “The garden looked beautiful just as it was all though years ago. When you’re mum and I married. It was also you fault we never had a wedding night” Dad remarked. This was not something I wanted to know. The garden was looking beautiful.
The guests started to arrive and Dad and I were there to greet them. As we were greeting the guests everyone headed to the bar to get a drink and then Dad disappeared. James saw what was going on and pulled me towards the front of the house. “What did you do that for?”
“Tammy was coming out the back door and it’s bad luck for you to see her so Dad has gone to see her and that’s why I pulled you.”
It was getting near 5.30pm and my stomach was in knots waiting for Tam to come through the door and make her way down the garden. Everyone was taking their seats and Nina carrying Lacey were the first out, my sister did look very beautiful and Lacey looked cute as usual.
Then the door opened and out walked Tam, as she made way towards me, I couldn’t believe how gorgeous she looked. When she stood next to me I could see her shaking with nerves as she smiled. Everyone went quiet as we started to exchanged our vows, we then exchanged the rings promises to be true to one another for the rest of our lives. As we did this you could hear the tears of joy from family and friends and then we sealed our vows with a kiss as husband and wife.
We were then congratulated by everyone and pictures were taken. We went to the table were the wedding cake sat and I cut into the cake and flashes of light from cameras were going off as more pictures were taken of our moment. The party was now in full swing with food and drink going around and by now lots of dancing.
We decided to sneak off so the three of us went upstairs and I settled Lacey down as it was way passed her bedtime, I think I must of read a line or two before her eyes closed then Tam and I went to our new room and celebrated our wedding as newlyweds.
I would like to say thanks to Lorandia for this wedding dress the link to the site can be found on the top of the page under Thanks.
Diary Entry 66
August 30th
Tam and I are now engaged and living together. I finally realised that she wanted a commitment from me. We have decided it won’t be a long engagement as we want to marry as soon as possible. Tam sister, Lisa has recently gotten married in a very private ceremony to Henry. I had to ring James and tell him, he was shocked as we all thought Henry was to a bachelor forever.
September 4th
Tam is now self-employed as a gardener and selling the over-flow of vegetables we don’t need to the shops. Tam is very big on being eco-friendly and at times it does drive me nuts “Don’t put that in the bin recycle it, Luke.” Tam shouts at me. I tell you what, I just won’t move or clean up after myself. This is what I want to say but I don’t because we would end up arguing, I just wish she wasn’t on my back about this recycling.
September 6th
James is organising my bachelor party, I dread to think what he is arranging for me. Nina and Tam are organising her bachelorette party. I hope she doesn’t have any strippers. The thought of Tam looking at another guy especially naked makes me feel angry. Nina thinks I’m overreacting but I don’t think so. Nina said “If Tammy can’t have strippers then neither can you.”
“I think you will find that is different sis. Guys are known to have strippers before they get married but you girls don’t need such parties before getting married.” I told her thinking that would be the end of the matter, how wrong could I be.
“You are such an idiot. What gives you the right to tell Tammy what she can and cannot do? She is her own person and you have no right to control her. Are you afraid that she would look at the stripper and leave you, get real Luke? Tammy loves you so grow up and let her have that night to remember like you will have yours.”
I hated that Nina snapped at me but she was right, Tam would come home to me not some stripper besides maybe there won’t be any at this party, at least I can pretend there won’t be.
September 16th
Well this is it my bachelor party. James had organised it all and I had no say. I think he wanted the party more than me because he skipped his chance to have a party and just got married to Edwardo. The guests had arrived and I was shocked when Tam’s dad showed up, I thought hated me as we didn’t get on so why would he show up. Apparently it was Henry and James who convinced him to come. I was really nervous now as he approached me, “So you are still marrying my daughter?”
“Um yes Sir, I Am.” at this point I was trembling.
“What!” he demanded
Thinking as quickly as I could as the sweat was now pouring off me, “May I marry your daughter, Tammy?”
“My daughter seems to love you, I have no idea why but if she is happy then I am happy. You may marry her.” as he smiled at me then walked away. Henry looked over just smiled I guess he had been through the same thing. Then it was my turn to laugh as Dad loved being a grandparent so much he cornered Henry trying to show of pictures and you could see Henry trying to escape pointing to his watch.
There was a lot of dancing and drinking throughout the night and then they were getting large nectar bottles and spraying each other. Tam’s dad must have had one too many because he started spraying me then I was given a bottle to spray him back. This was the first time I’d ever seen him smile and relax. He was very protective of his daughters and since being a father myself I could completely sympathize. I just he would get to know me for me and not think I’m taking Tam away from him.
The next thing I know everyone was gathering in the kitchen because the strippers had arrived but my brother seemed disappointed. When I asked are the party was over he told me that he had ordered a male and female strippers but they had sent 2 female strippers instead. I just looked at him as if to say whose party was it. The strippers knew how to get the guys going we were all drooling over them. They were very hot in their outfits and I caught both my Dad and future father in-law staring very intensely at them. I was very grateful to James for throwing such a good night for me.
The girls had gone out for the evening so we could have the party at home. The house was quiet and Lacey had slept through it all, James had been checking on her along with Dad all nigh but as always I had to say good night to her before I went to bed. I went to bed but couldn’t sleep till Tam and Nina were back home.
September 18th
Tammy bachelorette party was tonight and I wasn’t happy about it, I had to keep telling myself I was overreacting and there was nothing to worry about. Dad and I headed out for the evening to leave them to it and as we left Lisa, Tam’s twin was the first to arrive.
An hour later I tried ringing the house but there was no answer, I guess the party was in full swing. I tried to shrug off the feeling that something bad was going to happen but couldn’t. I was about to walk out of the bar when my Dad called me back “Sit down. Nothing is going to happen, just let her have a good party . Nina will make sure nothing goes wrong and this is where you have to trust Tammy.” Dad insisted.
“But…” I tried to say what was on my mind but Dad interrupted me.
“But nothing now enjoy your drink.” passing my a large glass.
At the house the girls were giving Tam a big send off, toasting her farewell to her single life and the start of her new life as a bride to be. Nina and Tam were spraying others and each other with nectar. From what Nina said the night was really full on with lots of drink to go around and then Nina told me the strippers were very hot and muscular, I felt my blood boil and she laughed at me. Tam did enjoy the strippers but to be honest not as much as me. I had so much to drink that after the show, I started flirting with one of them and it was Tammy pulling me away. She was stopping me making a complete fool of myself. I hate to say this but for some bizarre reason Tammy only has eyes for you.
How stupid could I have been thinking Tam was going to cheat on me. Knowing she only had eyes for me made it all more real how lucky I really was and this time tomorrow we would be newlyweds.
Diary Entry 65
July 3rd
Dad had invited Tam to come over. Mum’s garden was looking a bit overgrown and Dad knew Tam loved gardening so he asked her to help and weed the garden. It was dark by the time she had finished. Dad was nudging me out the door, “You know you won’t find a nicer girl than Tammy.”
“Dad thanks but I’m not interested ok.” protesting at being put on the spot.
“I see the way you have looked at her, Luke. What’s stopping you? I know you were hurt by Sophia but let’s face it, that wasn’t a real relationship.” discussing things I didn’t want to talk about.
“I asked her to marry me, so of course I loved her.” snapping back
“Luke, I always felt you asked Sophia to marry you because of Lacey not for you. You have to understand something, when you truly love someone you ask for you not because you are having a child together, remember they leave home and then what, you carry on being with someone you don’t love. Sorry Luke but you never loved Sophia, I could see that and I know deep down you knew it to. The plus side is I have a beautiful little granddaughter. Now go and talk to Tammy before it’s too late.” by now I was pushed out the door.
“Need any help Tam?” I asked
“No all done, Thanks anyway. How’s Lacey?” Tam enquired
“She’s fine. I think she’s asleep now. Do you want to hang around and talk for awhile?” I was so nervous.
“We could watch the stars and talk if you like.” as she smiled.
July 6th
The case of the tattooed thief was now starting to annoy me there was still no leads and it was becoming frustrating. I went the police station to see if any of the officer’s had any information for me. James was moving in with Edwardo and leaving me with Nina our little sister. “Take Nina with you.” begging at this point.
“Um let me think little brother, the answer is no.” laughing at me.
“Stay here there is enough room.” hoping he would stay.
“Come on Luke, we all know when Tam moves in there will be babies everywhere and we would just be in the way.” smirking at this point.
“Tam and I haven’t been dating that long.”
“I know but I can see where this is going.” as he and Edwardo left the room.
August 1st
The case I’d been working on was now at a stale mate as no-one was talking so it seems this case of the tattooed thief would remain unsolved. I loved quality time with Lacey, reading with her was my favourite thing to do and we had so much fun.
Tam and I were getting on really well and she was doing a great job of looking after mum’s garden. I know mum would be pleased. Tam had added more plants to the garden; I think the vegetable patch was starting to take over.
August 5th
I gradually introduced Lacey to Tam at first Lacey called Tam, mum. We had to tell her that Tam was not her mum but Tammy. It took a while but Lacey finally started to call Tam by her name.
August 14th
After helping out at the police station, I got an unusual case of the crush. I mean what happened to missing persons or I don’t someone hacking a computer to find out secrets. If someone has a crush just tell them. I will have to see the client in the morning and see how I can help.
Nina had a boyfriend, Rob is his name, I think. He seems ok I thought Nina could got someone better looking but let’s face it who I am to judge, after all look what happened to me I thought Sophia was beautiful but to be honest the personality was awful. Then look at Tam is beautiful too but this time she has the personality to match.
I decided to ask Tam to move in but she still hasn’t given me an answer and says she needs time. I asked Dad about this and he said “Maybe she is looking for more than just living together, just maybe Tammy wants something more.” I demanded to know what.
“Like what?”
“If you have to ask then you are not ready yet and that is what Tammy can see and that is why you are not ready.”
